{#25inLondon} on the street

Lately, I have been so inspired by the city, Instagramers, and fellow photographers (ahem, Chris Tait and Brittany Staddon) in their street photography style. It’s something I always wish I was more creative and brave with. Using my iPhone is a start at least, for me, to capture more of the soul of this beautiful city I live in, in a non-obtrusive way. It’s also one of the only ways I can truly stay sane when it starts to feel like every day is the same. Get up, go to the train, sit on the train, make coffee, smile, meet up with friends, take the train, walk home, sleep, repeat. I need to take in something from this city and then I need to share it artistically back. I’m an artist. Isn’t that what art is?

“‘Dear old world,’ she murmured, ‘you are very lovely,
and I am glad to be alive in you.’” — Anne Shirley

The next few shots are from a recent trip to Barcelona.

Thanks as well to @vscocam for their awesome iPhone app. Love the colours I can now get with my phone!
